Tutoring in computer technology -- across the generations  

Mission Statement 

Teen-Senior Connect (TS Connect) is a San Diego based volunteer high school group created to assist seniors with their computer and technology needs.  Our student volunteers are proficient in the use of the Internet, Microsoft Word and Excel, digital photography and music, and e-mail account setup.  Students who volunteer receive community service credit for participation in this program. 

About Us 

The Francis Parker Chapter of Teen-Senior Connect was founded by Erica Schild during her sophomore year at Francis Parker School in April, 2006. We currently staff more than twenty student volunteers who tutor seniors at the following San Diego County retirement communities:

  • Carlsbad by the Sea (Carlsbad)

  • Casa de Mañana (La Jolla)

  • Seacrest Village (Encinitas)

  • The Potiker Center (Downtown, San Diego)

  • Wesley Palms (Pacific Beach)

Our tutors working with the Francis Parker Chapter of Teen-Senior Connect are high school students (ages 14-18) who hale from an assortment of schools in San Diego County including Francis Parker, The Bishop’s School, Canyon Crest Academy, and High Tech High School. 

The Torrey Pines Chapter of Teen-Senior Connect was founded by Elizabeth and Lexi Campbell, with the help of Erica Schild. The Torrey Pines Chapter currently offers tutoring services at the following retirement community:

  • La Costa Glen (Carlsbad)

  • La Vida del Mar (Solana Beach)

  • Brighton Gardens (Carmel Valley)
